The Stingray S is the first watch designed by Roamer for diving. Prototype presented in Basel in 1966, production from late 1967, gold medal for design at the Leipzig fair in September 1967. In the catalogue until 1973. Case, dial, hands and movement are made by Roamer in its workshops in Solothurn.
Cushion case in steel, patented Roamer two-part construction with additional O-ring, reference 471-9129.602 engraved on the back under the ray monogram.
Internal rotating bezel graduated over 60 minutes, white numbers, luminescent triangle at the 60 marker

Blue gradient dial with reticle, applied stick indices topped with tritium blocks. Red Roamer logo applied under 12 o'clock, mentions « Stingray S » and « rotodate », marking « Swiss Made T » at 6 o'clock.
Gold hands with luminescent filling, red central second hand.
Date window at 3 o'clock.
Double crown signed Roamer: the one at 3 o'clock controls the internal bezel, the one at 4 o'clock controls winding and setting the time.
Acrylic glass signed Roamer.
The original tritium lume is well present on all indices and has turned orange uniformly. Two small scratches on the dial, visible in the photos. The case shows normal signs of wear for its age, without corrosion.
Diameter 37.5 mm excluding crown, 41 mm including crown. Height 43.5 mm. Lug width 18 mm.
Automatic calibre MST 472, 28 jewel version of the 470/471 launched in late 1966, Roamer manufacture, 21,600 vibrations per hour, micro-regulator, date.
Serviced in July 2026: complete disassembly and cleaning, detailed lubrication, regulation. The watch works perfectly.
The Stingray S was certified for 200 meters when it was released; this figure is part of the model's history. The seals have been replaced, but the original glass and crowns are more than fifty years old: no waterproofing is guaranteed.
