1971 Omega Seamaster, automatic with date in steel. It belongs to the generation of tonneau cases with bold lines through which the Seamaster entered the 1970s.
Tonneau case in stainless steel never polished, with integrated lugs, top and sides satin-finished separated by a polished bevel.
Fine satin-finished bezel.
Sunburst blue dial, which shifts from midnight blue to electric blue depending on the light, black tick markers on a white ring at the periphery.
Applied indices in faceted plots with a striped top, positioned over the minute track, applied Ω logo, OMEGA AUTOMATIC and Seamaster printed.
Polished stick hands with luminescent outlines, fine central seconds hand.
Signed Ω crown.
Mineral glass.
Date window framed at 3 o'clock.
Screw-down case back adorned with the raised Seamaster seahorse medallion. Inside, reference 166.087, a sister Seamaster from 1971 with the same calibre, is crossed out and 166.110 re-engraved just below: Omega thus reused case backs from one reference to another.
The dial is in very good condition, with a uniform blue without stains or discolouration, clear printing, with only a few tiny light spots visible up close. Indices and logo are clean, and the luminescent outlines of the hands have taken on a uniform grey hue. The case retains its satin finish and sharp edges, with some usage scratches on the top, and a few small dings on the bezel, polished bevels and the edge of the lugs. Slightly scratched back, medallion well defined.

Calibre Omega 1002 automatic no. 33101523, 20 jewels, 28,800 beats per hour, quick-set date. It belongs to the first generation of the 1000 family, launched in 1968, whose indirectly driven hands free up the centre of the movement for a robust mass balance. Produced for only a few years, it was then succeeded by the 1010 and 1012, with almost all parts redesigned.
Serviced in September 2026 — complete disassembly and cleaning, detailed lubrication, adjustment. The watch is functioning perfectly.
