Seiko wristwatch with mechanical alarm and automatic winding, produced in December 1972 by Suwa Seikosha, one of the two manufacturing companies of the Seiko group. Launched in 1966, the Bell-Matic is the first alarm watch equipped with a central rotor for automatic winding.
Cushion-shaped steel case with wide lugs. Anthracite dial. Rotating alarm disc on the dial's periphery, graduated in tens, with a red triangular marker. Applied and faceted baton indices, doubled at twelve o'clock. Applied Seiko logo. Markings BELL-MATIC, 17 JEWELS, and Suwa logo at six o'clock. Dial code 4006-6010T printed at the bottom of the dial. Luminous baton hands, slim central seconds hand. Fluted crown at three o'clock. Alarm pusher at two o'clock. Original acrylic crystal with tension ring. Day and date window at three o'clock, day disc in English, Sunday in red. Steel screw-down back, engraved with case reference 4006-6011 and serial number 2D2634, where the first two characters indicate the month and year of production.

Condition: dial in good condition. Case in good condition, with slight signs of use.

Calibre 4006A, automatic, 17 jewels, 19,800 beats per hour, Diashock shock absorber, bi-directional winding by Magic Lever. Produced from 1966 to 1978. Operation:
— Crown pressed and turned: winds the alarm barrel. This is the only manual winding of the watch.
— Crown at the first click, turned: rotates the alarm disc to bring the red marker to the alarm time.
— Crown at the second click: sets the time.
— Button at two o'clock pressed then released: quick date correction.
— Button pulled out one click: alarm set. Pushed in: alarm off, including during the ringing.
— The day does not have quick correction. It is advanced by moving the hands back and forth across midnight several times, then the date is caught up with the button.
— The ringing lasts about ten seconds: a hammer strikes a sound blade. The alarm drawing from its own barrel, the timekeeping is not interrupted.
Serviced in July 2026: complete disassembly and cleaning, detailed lubrication, regulation. The watch functions perfectly, including all its functions. New black leather strap.
