Universal Genève automatic city watch from 1950, signed by the Geneva house founded in 1894. 

Steel case, long curved and pierced lugs, gold-plated. 
Screw-down steel back with Universal 1894 crest, ref. 20209, serial number 1438857 inside. 
Smooth gold-plated bezel. 
Silvered dial, printed minute markers. 
Applied faceted stick indices, doubled at noon, applied gold U crest. 
Gold dauphine hands, gold central seconds hand. Notched crown, gold-plated. 
Domed plexiglass crystal. 
Dial with homogeneous champagne patina, sprinkled with fine spots, clear inscriptions. 
Well-preserved plating on the bezel and lugs. 
Normal micro-scratches on the case and back. 

Dimensions: diameter 35 mm without crown, 38 mm with crown, height 43 mm from lug to lug, lug width 18 mm. 

Universal Genève automatic calibre 139, 17 jewels, central seconds, 18,000 vibrations per hour. 
It belongs to the 138 family, launched in 1948, which also powered the first Polerouter of 1954 before the arrival of the microrotor. Bumper mass, with that slight bounce that can sometimes be felt on the wrist. 
Serviced in October 2026: complete disassembly and cleaning, detailed lubrication, regulation. The watch works perfectly. 

Olive green leather strap with a patina effect, bright green stitching, handmade by an artisan. Grey lining. Gold pin buckle.
