Launched in 1948, the Seamaster became Omega's widest civilian line, carried by a reputation for waterproofness inherited from military watches of the end of the war. This reference 14770 is the dressed version from the early 60s, an automatic with date designed for everyday use.

The dial has taken on a very nice patina, its gold surface is speckled with fine dark spots spread across the entire dial. The applied indices and logo are intact. Case in good used condition, fine scratches and small wear marks on the bezel and the tops of the lugs, the gold of the cap remains well present on all surfaces. Glass in very good condition. The back is very clear, the seahorse and inscriptions are perfectly legible.

Calibre Omega 562, automatic with date, 24 jewels, 19,800 beats per hour. It belongs to the 55x/56x family that appeared in the late 1950s, renowned and very reliable, of which the chronometer version, the 561, equipped the Constellation of the same era.
Serviced in July 2026: complete disassembly and cleaning, detailed lubrication, regulation. The watch functions perfectly.
