Omega ref. 2902-2 SC - cal. 284 - 1957

In the 1950s, Omega produced thousands of classic watches without model names on the dial, simply signed by the brand. The 2902-2 SC in steel, with central seconds, belongs to this family of dress watches that were worn daily.

Round stainless steel case, polished, snap-on back, faceted straight lugs.
Smooth and thin bezel, which leaves plenty of room for the dial.
Silvered dial with a grained finish, evenly patinated.
Applied gold indices, Arabic numerals 12, 3, 6, and 9, faceted arrowheads for the other hours, applied Omega logo, Swiss Made mention at 6 o'clock.
Gold dauphine hands, fine central seconds hand.
Crown signed with the Omega logo.
Domed plexiglass.

Condition: the dial shows a regular granular patina over its entire surface, with a few small darker spots scattered... the printing and applied indices are intact. The case bears micro scratches from use. The lugs have retained their shape and edges. Glass in good condition.

Dimensions: 33 mm excluding crown, 34.5 mm including crown, 41 mm from lug to lug, lug width 18 mm.

Calibre 284, 17 jewels, Breguet balance spring, central seconds. It belongs to the famous 30 mm family of Omega and is part of the successors of the 30T2. Entirely made in Biel, it is this legendary family that won the first timing prizes at the observatories of Kew, Geneva, and Neuchâtel in the late 1940s. The 284 is one of the later variations with central seconds, significantly less common than the 283 and 285. Very reliable and durable movement.
Serviced in August 2026, complete disassembly and cleaning, detailed lubrication, adjustment. The watch works perfectly.
