Omega « Jumbo » réf. 2506-1 - cal. 30T2 SC - 1948


This Omega ref. 2506 from the late 1940s is one of the « Jumbo » with a central second hand from the Biel manufacture, men's city watches that are now highly sought after by collectors for their very large size for the time. 

Stainless steel case with long curved and pierced lugs, pressure case back marked inside with the Omega Watch Co logo and reference 2506-1. 
Polished smooth bezel. 
Two-tone silver dial, satin centre surrounded by a minute track. 
Number 12, arrow indices and dots at 3, 6, and 9 applied in gold, printed Omega logo. 
Gold leaf hands, central second hand in blued steel. Crown signed with the Omega logo. 
Domed plexiglass. 

The dial shows pitting spread across its surface, clearly visible in the photos, the gold indices and hands are in good condition. The case has fine signs of wear, with a few small marks on the bezel and lugs, and the satin back retains light scratches. Everything is original. 

Dimensions: diameter 38.5 mm excluding crown, 39.5 mm including crown, height 47 mm from lug to lug, lug width 19 mm. 

Omega calibre 30T2 SC manual winding, 17 jewels, characteristic copper finish of the 1940s, movement number 11373854. Central second hand version of the 30T2 that equipped the W.W.W. watches delivered by Omega to the British army at the end of the war, it drives its second hand indirectly, through an additional mechanism mounted on the bridges. 
Serviced in September 2026, complete disassembly and cleaning, detailed lubrication, regulation. The watch works perfectly. 

Brown patinated leather strap with ochre stitching, steel pin buckle.
